Forum 2018

Forum "Clinical Research"

From stumbling blocks into stepping stones: Creating greater value and efficiency in clinical research

The terrain of biomedical and clinical research is littered with great stumbling blocks, the past mistakes of researchers. In its 8th Forum “Clinical Research” on 31 January 2018, the SCTO followed the topical thread of its last Symposium and presented a tangible case study of increasing value from the British National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).  Afterwards, leading experts explored the national landscape: What do Swiss stakeholders see as the priorities for change and improvement? What lessons can Switzerland learn from the strategic approach of the NIHR?

Close to 90 participants attended the successful event in Bern. A summary report of the Forum 2018 and the presentations can be accessed further below.

The SCTO regularly organises events in order to shed light on current issues and challenges in clinical research from a Swiss perspective and to find common solutions.

The Forum "Clinical Research" 2019 will take place on Wednesday, 30 January 2019.
